What we love about Valerie

Valerie is that “typical artist” and I mean that in all of the best ways. She lives and breathes her art. Her mind is constantly racing with new ideas. I have the honor of living in the same neighbourhood as Valerie and you cannot miss her house… her garden is art with color dripping off of every possible surface! Valerie is bigger than life when you meet her—jeans covered in paint, a glass of champagne in her hand and a huge laugh. Keeping up with Valerie for her sessions was an incredible experience. She often paints 3-4 massive canvases all at once. More times than not, I found myself putting my camera down to take in the creative genius in front of me. After I spent time with Valerie, I fell so much in love with her work that I purchased one of her paintings for my parents.
