Nicolette Richer is an author, speaker and serial entrepreneur. Using her passion as certified orthomolecular health educator, she created a collection of 100% organic, plant-based, unrefined, whole-food restaurants: The Green Moustache, Richer Health Consulting, Richer Health Nutrition and Detox Wellness Centre and a Charity called Sea to Sky Thrivers Society.
Her work spans two decades of showing customers and clients how to manage and reverse their progressive chronic degenerative diseases, working alongside Indigenous communities and youth, and training Physicians globally to facilitate the remembering of plant medicines and food as medicine.
She holds a BA in Interdisciplinary Studies and Sustainable Community Development from Simon Fraser University and an MA in Environmental Education and Communications from Royal Roads University. As a current PhD student at Royal Roads, Nicolette is running a pilot clinical trial with a local Indigenous community where they are using metabolic nutritional pre-settler foods as medicine to reverse type 2 diabetes while uncovering the social determinants of health to support systemic change. As a mother of three brilliant girls, Nicolette spends her free time playing and hiking with her family and dogs in Whistler's stunning mountain range.
She melds science and soul together seamlessly, making her work both fiercely practical and full of heart. We’re excited for her new podcast coming out, new website coming: nicolettericher.com, plus the Eat Real to Heal Book, and her Nutrition and Detox Coaching Course.
We would like to acknowledge that the land on which we gather is the traditional territory of the Sinixt, the Ktunaxa, and the Syilx peoples, and is home to the Métis and many diverse Indigenous persons.
